(June 1, 1998 – March 6, 2026) Deane took his last breath peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his parents (Mark Daprato and Ijeoma Ross) and his best friend and sister, Rayne. In his almost 28 years, Deane showed all of those who knew him how to laugh loudly, cheer heartily, hug tightly, smile brightly and love unconditionally. He approached life with enthusiasm and joy whether skiing down a hill or tubing behind the boat, attending concerts or cheering on the Raptors, going to school or riding the subway. He was a founding member of Let's Grow Learning and Living Hub, a special place for his community of disabled young adults. His strength and resilience especially in the last four years was inspirational and motivating. He touched and changed all those around him including his grandmother (Marjorie Ross), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, nurses and doctors. We express our sincere appreciation to the staff of Toronto Grace Health Centre for the care and compassion they showed Deane and all of us. A time to share and remember with the family will take place on March 22nd beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Rosedale Presbyterian Church (129 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto). A service will follow at 4:00 p.m. To honour Deane, please consider making a donation to Let's Grow at
