Diana FARR Obituary

FARR, Diana Gillian Wynn
October 1, 1934 - November 27, 2015

Surrounded by her family, Diana peacefully passed away at the age of 81. Loving mother and friend to her children, Michael (deceased), Jonathan and Jane. Mother-in-law to Rose, Anna and Kevin. Fun-loving nana to Mark, Ashley and Joshua and granny Di to James and Sarah. Predeceased by her ex-husband of 30 years, James Farr. Sister of Patricia and aunt to Hamish, Caroline, Lucy and Tom. Good friend to everyone she knew in Canada, England and Australia. Born in Bournemouth, England and moved to Canada at the age of 22 where she met her husband, James, from Hereford, England. Diana was a devoted mother and 'always there for us' our whole lives. She truly cared about everyone and treasured her friendships, especially Helen with whom she has been friends with since the age of 12. After her children grew up she became a Travel Agent which helped her to have some incredible adventures travelling the world, especially with her Australian friend John. Visitation will be held in the chapel at the YORK VISITATION CENTRE located in York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road (North of Sheppard Avenue), on Thursday, December 3rd, 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday, December 4th, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday after visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice. For more information visit www.etouch.ca
