DIANE EVERETT Obituary

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Diane Everett, suddenly at home, at age 71, on January 28, 2025. She will be missed by her wife, Christiane "Chris" Beaudoin; by her daughter, Alexandra (Andrew); by her sister, Jane; and extended family in Cambridge, Ontario. Predeceased by her sister, Catherine; and Alexandra's mother, Kathryn Ethier. Daughter of the late Russell and Frances Everett. Diane attended Bishop's University and McGill University graduating as a lawyer. She went on to a very successful career in the life insurance industry as Vice President of Planning Services at PPI and President of CAVU Planning Services. Diane was much admired in the industry for her extensive knowledge and excellent communication skills. Diane was an extremely kind and positive person to be around. She possessed a brilliant and open mind. Gone is a most generous and kind person and the world is lesser for this loss. A private service has been held for the family. A celebration of life will be held at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, on Friday, February 21, 2025, with a visitation at 2 p.m., followed by a service at 3 p.m. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation Canada in her memory.

I have very fond memories of Diane through our professional and our friendship relationship. We shared a keen interest not only in tax related legal issues but also in enjoying life in the company of friends. Diane was a very kind and generous person in many ways. I was blessed with getting to know her and also meeting Chris and Alexandra. My condolences to you and all of your family on the passing of Diane. Take care. Bill Fowlis

From first meeting more than forty years ago Diane´s authenticity shone through, and never faltered. Whenever she inquired as to ones well-being it was only with genuine concern for a friend, and friends were lifelong. In spite of her intense work schedule she always had time for each one of us, and made us feel unique and valued. I still don´t know how she did it.

Her passion for her work was obvious, as were her values regarding how one approaches a task - nothing is done with less than a 100% commitment. I knew pilot Diane more than lawyer Diane, and always admired how she applied the same principles to everything aviation related - rarely encountered in someone not actually employed in the field.

We will miss our times at the Flying Beaver pub, where she was in her element watching the float plane traffic come and go at the seaplane base over lunch during her Vancouver trips. Whether it was just a few months since we last got together or more than a year, we always picked up just where we left off; time and distance couldn´t diminish her friendship. We will miss that, but always have the fond memories, and know that we will meet again.

I met Diane thru my brother Robert many years ago. During that time Diane became a good friend and a business and personal advisor. Diane will be greatly
missed, by her many friends and colleagues. My heartfelt condolences go out to her wife and family. I am looking forward to meeting Diane again in the future.
