(June 9, 1943 – December 2, 2025) Dianne Daniels Conrath (nee Currie) passed away peacefully, at the age of 82, on December 2, 2025, at Carpenter House Hospice in Burlington, Ontario. Dianne was born in Belleville on June 9, 1943, and was adopted into the loving home of Archie and Illa (nee Wannamaker) Currie. At the very young age of 3, Dianne showed an interest and natural talent playing the piano. At age 5, she performed at her first piano recital, and she went on to dedicate her life to music, excelling at every level of her education. She earned her ARTC in both piano and organ and completed her BA in music at the University of Waterloo, focusing on the harpsicord. Dianne shared her love of music by accompanying many religious and community choirs, including the Belleville Youth for Christ Choral Singers, the Schneider Male Chorus, and recently, the Rogue Singers. She was a church organist and taught piano for over 40 years. She also delighted audiences playing over 400 popular songs at restaurants in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. Dianne's other great love and pride in her life was her family, in particular her three children, Anita, Jonathan and Rebecca (whom she had with her first husband, Barry Daniels). Her family grew again in 1991 when she married Dave Conrath, and she welcomed his three children, Rob, John and Chris into her life. Over the past three decades she was delighted with the arrival of 12 grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply. In 1992, with the help of the Children's Aid Society and clues left for her by her adoptive parents, Dianne was able to locate her birth family and enjoyed the new experience of having siblings: a brother, Adam Clark, and a sister, Joan McIntyre. Her siblings were delighted to have a younger sister and welcomed Dianne and her whole family into theirs. Dianne faced her cancer diagnosis in 2022 head on and continued to live a fulfilling life for almost three years. She spent her final four weeks in the caring environment of Carpenter House, with family by her side and dozens of visitors who came to see her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gratitude, her beautiful smile, and of course, her talent at the keyboard. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, 2241 New Street, Burlington, ON. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens. Messages of sympathy may be left at
