It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Kerry Allibon, who passed away on September 11, 2025, following a brave and lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on December 13, 1938, in Northern Ontario, Kerry was the first in his family to attend university. What followed was a successful career in Toronto in the investment business. But more than any professional achievement, it was his devotion to his family that defined Kerry's legacy. Kerry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cathy, and is survived by his children, Virginia (Henry), Michael (Lori), and Heather; along with his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, William, and Robbie. His family was always Kerry's greatest pride and joy. He made it a point to have dinner together as a family every night, even amid the busy demands of work and life. Kerry was a constant presence in his children's lives - whether as a volunteer hockey coach, a ski instructor to his kids, or attending school concerts and fun fairs - Kerry was always there providing support and encouragement for his family. In retirement, Kerry found joy in spending summers at the family cottage, winters in Siesta Key, exploring much of Europe with Cathy, cheering on his beloved Toronto Blue Jays, and most of all, hosting sleepovers with his grandkids. Kerry's quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering support of his family will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Creek Way Village Long-Term Care home for their outstanding care during the final years of Kerry's life. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada
