Donald Armstrong Obituary



DONALD ARTHUR ARMSTRONG 1928-2004 Passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 in Kitchener. He was a loving husband of Sandra for forty-two years. Donald will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. He was a dear father to Catherine and Kevin Embree, Christine Armstrong and Jeff Van de Kleut and Jacqueline Armstrong Gates and Jeff Gates, and a wonderfully loving grandfather to Caitlin, McKenzie and Taylor Embree, Madeleine, Alexander and Elizabeth Van de Kleut and Victoria and Davis Gates. He was the beloved brother of Alberta and her late husband Jim McVey and John and his wife Lois Armstrong. Uncle Don will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John (Jack) and Belle Armstrong. He was a mason in Temple Lodge, Kitchener and Royal City Lodge of Perfection, Guelph Chapter of the Rose Croix, and a member of Trinity United Church. The family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday, October 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at the funeral service on Monday, October 18, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Reception to follow. A masonic service conducted by the Temple Lodge #690 will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged by calling the funeral home at (519) 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com
