DONALD PRINGLE Obituary

November 26, 1956 - April 20, 2025 Tony Pringle passed suddenly in Mono, Ontario at his treasured farm. Cherished husband of Sandy Dayes. Beloved son of Phyllis Pringle and the late Donald Pringle. Loving father of Anne Pringle (Pierre Perchoc), Bill Pringle (Stephanie) and Andrew Pringle (Rylee Mezzarobba), and proud Goggin to Dylan, Devon, Claire, Grace, Reid, Alastair and Stewart. Dear brother of Andrew (Valerie), John (Barbara), and Kenneth. Loving uncle to all of their children. Fondly remembered by Lauren Dayes (Bradly Duval), Spencer Dayes (Brooklyn Lalonde), Cooper Dayes, June Dennis, and Valerie Dennis. Devoted owner to his beloved dog, Archie. Tony's hobbies and successes were vast. Graduate of Upper Canada College (1975) and McMaster University (1979). He loved his more than 40 years working in the investment industry, but his proudest were running Pringle Portfolio Management Group at RBC Dominion Securities. He always enjoyed writing his quarterly commentary, in which he demonstrated his gift for market insight through concise eloquence. Tony was a loyal member of multiple communities and was dedicated to giving back through his roles on the boards of Headwaters Health Care Centre and Belmont House Foundation. An outdoorsman at heart, Tony took great pride in the diligent maintenance of his farm in Mono, Ontario, his cottage on Lake of Bays, and his condominium in Nassau, Bahamas. It was in these places that he found many of his life's small joys: connecting with locals, fishing with his kids, and sunset cups of tea on the balcony with his wife. Tony will be remembered for his wit, humour, generosity, and above all else, his unwavering sense of pride and loyalty for those he loved most. The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. There will be a private family funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tony's memory to Headwaters Health Care Centre at https://www.headwatershealth.ca/who-we-are/donate/ or (519)-941-2410, or Belmont House at https://www.belmonthouse.com/foundation/donate-now/ or (416)-964-9231. Tony managed my grandfather´s and my parent´s investment portfolios and now my brother and my family have our investments with Bill. He was wonderful to deal with because he cared. Our sincere condolences to his family.

It has been while since I last saw Tony but had the pleasure of knowing him for many years at all kinds of events and meetings we had in the investment industry. He was always dedicated, loved being at RBC, loved his farm and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We will all miss him.
