Donna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, deeply loved by family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Sander Biderman. Loving mother of Andrew and Matthew Biderman; and mother-in-law of Danielle Biderman. Devoted grandmother of Jack and Tate Biderman. Dear sister of Dr. Jerry Chapnik and the late Marilyn Smith; and sister-in-law of Sandra Chapnik, David Kendal, Larry Smith, Michael Biderman, Rochelle Biderman, Steven Biderman and Arlene Biderman. Donna attended Harbord Collegiate, the University of Toronto, became a high school teacher, taught science at Castle Frank Collegiate and taught special education at Central Tech in Toronto. She had a special compassion for children in need and her students loved her. Her positive spirit led her to make friends everywhere she went, whether it was working out at the Fitness Club, taking pilates classes or just socializing with others in her lovely home or cottage. She had a gift of making people feel at ease. Most of all, she treated everyone - her caregivers, trainers, doctors, friends, family and others - with dignity, respect and friendship. And how proud she was of her wonderful sons, Andrew and Matthew; and her grandsons, Jack and Tate. The photo above says it all; her warm smile, the bright colours - blue, green, yellow and red - that adorned her clothes and her home, reflecting her generous and positive nature. Her strength in the face of many challenges, particularly when she lost her dear husband, Sander Biderman; and her sister and best friend, Marilyn Smith, both to cancer. She developed a special relationship with Cynthia Smith, her niece; and Karla, her close friend. She will be sorely missed by them and by all who knew her. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (three lights west of Dufferin) on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment Temple Sinai section at Pardes Shalom Cemetery.
