DOREEN GERVAIS

"It was the best of times" Doreen Gervais (née Holmes), Dodi, mum, grandma, took her last breath on October 11, 2025, after 90 years on this earth. To the tune of the song in her favourite movie, Casablanca, "as time goes by," so did her life, too quickly for those left behind: her children, Steve (Kelly), Mark (Heilyn), Andrew (Fatima), and Kelly (Rosie); her grandchildren, Jayme, Trevor, Julia, Jona, and Madeleine; her sister, Margaret; and nieces and nephews. We will miss her physical presence so much, while her spirit lives on. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. A celebration of her life will take place at The Pilot in Toronto on November 8, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
