Dear Ian, brothers, grandchildren and friends,
As you gather to remember and celebrate your Mum today, may you draw strength from your memories and life together with her. I was fortunate to have known her and your father. One of my favourite memories about them both, was their kindness in sharing one of the cottages at your place the year we had rented a dud of a cottage visiting from San Francisco with a new baby! Funny and kind - it was just our luck. In the following years and right up until Pat's passing, weddings, parties, connected histories - I remember her smile, personal strength in life, riding a bike in the older prime of her life.
Stay connected with each other and draw on the great memories together.
My love and very best,
Martha Heighington

Pat was a very dear friend of my parents, but in particular a best friend to our mother. They loved fashion and decorating and enjoyed family sports together. Pat was a big support to our father and to me and my siblings when our mother passed away prematurely.
A wonderfully vibrant spirit who will no doubt be missed.

I have fond memories of sailing in the Stocks´ sailboat, Dr George at the wheel and Pat calling out instructions. Missed seeing them in recent years since I moved to Christie Gardens.

Pat was my mother´s, Elaine Van Patter, best friend. As young mothers in the 1950s and 60s they spent a lot of time together, raising their families, volunteering at church, school and the hospital and attending a few parties as well. My mother was always impressed with Pat´s energy and enthusiasm for new projects. When my mother passed away in 1971 Pat and George were incredibly supportive to my father and both my grandmothers. A few years later when I was getting married, Pat helped me pick out my wedding dress as well navigate the many wedding decisions. I feel very fortunate to have had her in my life. My sincere condolences to her family

My dear cottage neighbour. One of a kind. Always enjoyed a rum and Coke upon arrival and lengthy chats about children, books and current events. She could whip up a quick dinner enjoyed in her small dining area overlooking the lake. She never complained even as she was losing he sight and never feared the slippery rocks to get over to our place. Her boundless energy was always evident. We often golfed together at Ladies Day at Windermere. She even bought a new driver in her late eighties to see if she could improve her game.
Pat was a role model for all of us who are getting older. Age didn´t seem to bother her. We will miss her at the cottage. Hugs and condolences to the Stock family. The end of a generation.
