Doris ASHLEY Obituary

DORIS MARGARET ASHLEY It is with deep sadness we announce that Doris Margaret Ashley passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Margaret was born in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, UK on May 14, 1930. She was raised by her father, Maurice Watts, a veteran of the First World War, who served in France as a messenger. Margaret spent the early part of her life in England where she met her husband, Cedric Walter Ashley (deceased 2011) and married in 1954. They immigrated to Canada in 1957, where they raised their two children, Nicholas (Lorinda) and Justin (Samantha) in Toronto. Margaret was an intelligent and opinionated force. She was strong-minded and raised her children with love and support and was focused on providing them with the best education. Margaret was a grandmother to four grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Cameron and Hayden. She was Mum to her children and Nan to her grandchildren. There will be a service planned for May 14, 2021. We are going to miss you, Nan. Thank you for everything.

I've just learned of Margaret's passing. My sincere condolences to Justin, Nick and their families. Some of the best days in my life were spent with Cedric and Margaret in Toronto and Muskoka when the boys were very young. I will always treasure the laughter and good times together.

Love to you, Bonnie
