(nee Olsoufieff) Born in Brantford, Ontario. Daughter of the late George Olsoufieff and Alexandra Miloradovitch. Beloved wife, mother and sister passed away suddenly in Hamilton, Ontario, on October 21, 2024, at the age of 75. Dorothy was our protector, fierce and loyal. She radiated strength and passion for her family and anything that interested her. She had a love of everything creative - from fashion and sewing, to drawing and painting, photography and gardening, crosswords and puzzles, restoring furniture and renovating interiors - and she excelled at them all. She knew how to do so many things, so many. She was an impressive cook and an even better baker. She welcomed a road trip and being in nature, especially when camping. She loved to be around family and celebrate traditions. She met Andrew at Loyola College in Montreal and would have celebrated 55 years of marriage this December. She loved a good story, always turned up her favorite song and had a wonderful sense of humour. She believed in a strong work ethic and to be the best at whatever you did, to be independent and resilient. She had a soft spot for animals and was always surrounded by doting cats and dogs over the years. She felt they were family and treated them as such. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Andrew; her children, Tania, Christopher and Alexa; and her sisters, Olga, Alina, Maria and Helen; as well as extended family and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held with family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
