Douglas ABOUD Obituary

DOUGLAS EDWARD ABOUD October 8, 1953 - July 19, 2023 We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Doug Aboud at Mount Sinai Hospital with his wife, Judi; and daughter, Sarah (David), by his side. Doug was adopted in Montreal by loving parents, Fran and Eddie. Last summer, Doug was lucky enough to meet and be warmly welcomed by his biological family from Missouri. Doug's vibrancy and zest for life was as infectious as his deep, bellowing laugh. Doug loved the mountains, good food, and swimming in the lake. He played countless sets of tennis and skied the most epic slopes across North America. In keeping with Doug's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place, and a private gathering will be held in the fall in celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity that is most meaningful to you. Special thanks to the Sinai Health CCU and Palliative Care teams for their outstanding compassion, comfort and care.

I had known Doug (always Dougie to me) since Mrs. Aboud brought him home. She invited me over (I lived next door) to meet him and from then on, I thought the world of him. Sadly, we lost touch over the years until Facebook found us. We exchanged birthday cards and one very long phone call. He was a great guy. My condolences to his family.

Was so saddened to learn of Doug´s passing. A true friend since elementary school. Our career paths pulled us in different directions, but always stayed in touch, counting on each other for advice or just to share stories and laughter. With a terrific sense of humour and that great laugh Dougie will be missed by all who loved him. RIP my friend.

After all these years, it was so comforting to talk with you a few months ago. I quickly realized that you had conserved your sense of humour and your memory for the many good times we shared. RIP my friend.
