Douglas KNOTT Obituary

DOUGLAS KNOTT Douglas Knott, born in Toronto (1934) passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023, surrounded by family as was his wish. Doug was a teacher, principal and he became a leader of teacher organizations and public education policy development, collective bargaining, leadership development and political lobbying. Doug was a passionate OECTA member for many years. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Monica (nee Mason), to whom he was so very devoted. He was a proud and admiring father to Moira, Kathleen, Gemma, and Kieran. He was a loving stepfather to Mary and Matthew. Doug's love and leadership shone in being a very present and adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy is in what he taught them: to be kind, to live fully, compassionately, respectfully, intelligently, and creatively. Live in the now with love and laughter and always root for the Blue Jays. Online condolences can be made at arbormemorial.ca/en/glenoaks.
