Doug Marshall was one of the finest gentlemen I have known. He has shown me a graciousness that I can only hope to approximate. I am so sad that I could not say goodbye. I am proud to have known and worked with Doug. I will miss you DRT.

It was a privilege to get to know Doug a little bit and enjoy his incredible wit and positive outlook on life. He will be genuinely missed by all at our support group meetings.

Our heart goes out to the Marshall family from our family with love.
We remember all the good times we had at the cottage sitting on the deck having a great conversation over a glass of wine.
Doug was a great gentleman and will be in our heart and memory forever.

Dear Dough with a heavy heart I say goodbye to a true gentleman and loving father . I always enjoyed your visits with my boys watching hockey games cheering them on in victory and your words of encouragement in defeat. Sunday dinners were a highlight in my University days Cindy and I would drive up from our house in the market to enjoy a dinner and great conversation. You were a great second father to all Cindy's friends you will always be in our memories . Thank you for helping me in my last year of studies when I was working on my thesis.. I came home from school and you were waiting on the porch in the rain with a IBM computer and a roasted chicken. Driving down to visit with the birth of my first son . Dancing together at my wedding. We were lucky to know Doug, his wit, curiosity, love for the stars and a great sense of humour. He was able to laugh with you at you and at himself. He adored Cindy and loved being with Carl. He will be missed by many.

Doug was our very dear friend and we will miss him more than words can say. We had many good times together at his Kawartha Lake cottage with Mary Anne and in Toronto -- especially our dinners together at Trio! Doug was one of a kind and we enjoyed discussing many controversial topics while consuming lots of good food & drink -- New Year's lobster included). Doug, we miss you already but you and Mary Anne will never be far from our hearts.
