DOUGLAS FRANCIS ROBERTS

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, surrounded by love. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (née Forsyth) for 64 wonderful years. Cherished father of Andrew and his wife, Emma; and proud grandfather of Ryan. Doug will be deeply missed by his siblings, Joan McCartney (late Terry), Ralph Roberts (Angie), Jim Roberts (Jeannine), and Harold Roberts (Janice); as well as by his sister-in-law, Dale Fox (Al). Doug spent his entire professional life in banking, retiring as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Specialist Group at CIBC. He was admired for his leadership, dedication, and integrity throughout his career. A man of many passions, Doug found joy in golf, bridge, and gardening, and was always ready for his next adventure-whether sailing, his adventures traveling the world for business and pleasure with his family, or simply sharing a laugh. Known for his sharp wit and cheeky sense of humour, he brought lightness and warmth to every gathering. Doug leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter. He will be remembered always with affection and gratitude by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We'd like to recognize the dedicated staff on the 3rd floor of Muskoka Shores. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka or charity of their choice would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through Cavill Funeral Home.
