DOUGLAS EDWIN SINCLAIR

It is with sadness that the family of Douglas Edwin Sinclair, aged 81, of Toronto, Ontario (formerly of Georgetown), announce his passing on December 9, 2024, at Mount Sinai Hospital following a brief illness. Doug was the beloved husband of Li Yang; and the cherished father of Greg (Sarah) and Stacey Sinclair. He was a proud grandfather to Tyler, Allison, Adam, James, and Gavin; and is also survived by his sister, Donna Gellert. Doug was a kind and quiet man who faced many challenges with resilience and grace. He lost his father at a young age and was diagnosed with polio, which affected his mobility, especially in his later years. Despite these hardships, he persevered, becoming a golf professional at an early age before embarking on a successful career on Bay Street, where he worked for many years. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for the exceptional care Doug received. He will forever be dearly loved by his family. A family service will be held at a later date.
