DUNCAN ROBERT MacLAUCHLAN GALE October 19, 1992 - August 1, 2023 Our beautiful boy has left us far too soon. Beyond beloved by his parents, Carol MacLauchlan and Watson Gale; his siblings, Emma (Stuart), Keltie (Ross) and Lauchlan (Morgan); and his special 'nieceling,' Aisling; and nephew, Malcolm. Also deeply loved by aunts and uncles; and special godparents, Mike and Di Leuty and Carolyn Hill and Bob Atkinson. Duncan leaves a legacy of love with his family, a broad group of friends, and anyone he met along the way, who instantly became a friend. His fun, presence, kindness and smile will be remembered with love by his many communities, including Lisgar, his TKE fraternity at Carleton, the Glebe and many more. While he brought joy to everyone around him, he was unable to find it for himself and ended his time with us far, far too soon. Although we are heartbroken, we ask that you remember the smile. Remember the energy. Remember the joy. Remember how he made you feel. Remember the huge hugs. Remember Duncan. Visitation at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa, on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Service at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., reception to follow. I met Duncan when he worked at Flora Hall. He brightened my day with his smile and wonderful hugs. He knew my son Allan and was always interested in updates. I am so sad for his family. You raised a beautiful human being.
