Duncan PHILLIPS Obituary
PHILLIPS, Duncan Rae
Died peacefully after living a wonderfully rich life with family, friends and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Joyce, son Richard, daughter Karla and her husband Sergio, and granddaughters Alexandra and Victoria. During his working years, Duncan enjoyed a thriving law practice, often generously giving aid to those less fortunate. He took an active part in the communities in which he lived, especially in Hoggs Hollow where the family resided for 26 years. He participated in political campaigns municipally, provincially and federally. He was recognized internationally for his achievements in bridge, winning medals at World Championships. He also loved sports, nature and the outdoors. Our great thanks go out to all of the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their dedicated and loving care. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Canadian Wildlife Federation, or a charity of your choice. A service to celebrate Duncan's life will take place on Saturday February 11, 2006 at 1 p.m. at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto (near York Mills and Yonge).
