E. Ralph ROWZEE

ROWZEE, E. Ralph, of Sarnia, born in Washington, D.C.
Passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at the age of 92, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sarnia. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary (Hudson) Rowzee, three daughters, Susan Rowcliffe of Sarnia and her son, Gordon of North Carolina, Betsy Williams, her husband Walter of Maryland, and their children Evan (and his wife, Kelly) of North Carolina and Sarah of Virginia, Nancy Pullen, her husband, Brock, and their two daughters, Mary and Leslie of British Columbia. Mr. Rowzee came to Canada from Akron, Ohio in 1942 as Manager, Canadian Synthetic Rubber, was appointed Director of Research for Polymer Corporation in 1944, became Vice-President and Manager in 1951, and Chief Executive Officer in 1957. In 1972 he became Chairman of the Board, and in 1978 Honourary Chairman of the Board, Polysar Rubber Corporation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
