I know Eddie through his music. Today is three years since his passingended up seeing this website and decided to wish my best for the family and those who knew him. Long live Edward and what he stood for. I wish the world to remember not only is guitar playing but his spirit and that million dollar smile and innovative approach to new things. I think Mr. Van Halen can teach us all not to give up and pursue our desired dreams.

My wife and son know how much your music meant to me , so much so that when I retired from work they threw me a Van Halen theme retirement party, I can vividly remember putting in my 8 track tape of your first album in 1978, I miss you brother, you will be imitated but never duplicated, loved all your concerts and solos, my favorite song “mean street” just reminds me of where I came from and where I’m at Lol, Thank you Eddie for the great, great memories

RIP Eddie oh u mos def are and will be missed!! I grew up listening to Van Halen! Who didn't? When I was in 7th grade Las Vegas NV. when my ears first heard the sound of Eddie's guitar! The song was Jamie's Cry'n n at that point and from then on Van Halen became a part of my life and still is and always will be!! Where ever you are Ed ....I sure hope your jam'n with a big smile on ur precious face! My brother Danny and I ,like to keep up with our fav bands so we try to let each other know if someone has passed that we adore tell u what I adored him! and when my bro called to tell me that Eddie's battle with cancer was over I freaked out! Like I feel like Eddie's one of my cousins or a close family member ...it really saddened me to know that I will never see him again I started to cry and I still do sometimes thinking how much his music made me feel so damn good like therapy! And still does to this very day!....but mostly I was saddened for Wolfgang and the VERY sweet and beautiful Valerie even tho they weren't married anymore I know they remained very close. And of course Alex and how much they love him and miss him immensely....plz except my condolences...

Eddie influenced me more then ANY guitarist or musicians and I started playing guitar when I was 13 years old as a direct result of hearing VH first album and every one after.even though he was the main influence,I never tried to copy his style but I implemented some of his technique along with my own style resulting in my own unique style and I was complimented by everyone who saw me play my guitar! I unfortunately never got to meet Eddie but I felt a connection to him as if he was a blood related family member! R.I.P Eddie and I love you brother ❤
