EDWARD BRONFMAN Obituary



EDWARD MAURICE BRONFMAN Peacefully on Monday, April 4th, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Edward was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife Marsha, and his three sons and their wives Paul and Judy, David and Rachelle, Brian and Marcia, and his stepdaughter Lisa and her husband Jared. Cherished by seven grandchildren Alexandra, Jonathan, Andrew, Shannah, Lyla, Herschel and Natasha. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Lucy, his sister Mona, and his brother Peter. Edward was a man of tremendous vitality and great sensitivity. He touched many people's lives, was honoured by many organizations, and received the order of Canada in recognition of a lifetime in philanthropy. Funeral service on Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim, 450 Kensington Ave., Westmount, Quebec. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, Mt. Royal, Montreal. Shiva in Montreal at 3982 Cote des Neiges Rd. #C59 Wednesday to Friday noon, continuing in Toronto from Saturday evening through Monday evening at 255 Warren Rd. Contributions in his memor y may be made to the Edward Bronfman Memorial Fund c/o The Benjamin Foundation, 3429 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Ontario M6A 2C3 (416) 780-0324. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.
