EDWARD JAMES PENNINGTON Surrounded by his family after a brief and unexpected illness, Edward passed away peacefully in his 67th year at Mount Sinai Hospital, on September 23, 2005. Beloved husband of Marian, dear father of Susan Matambanadzo (Prince); David Pennington (Niki) and Anne Pennington (Tovi Grossman) and proud grandfather of Taylor, Jack and Chazz. Will be sadly missed by cousins, niece, nephews, and many friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his parents William and Vera Pennington. Recently retired Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association (National Office), former Executive Director of the Social Planning Council of Toronto and Social Planning & Research Council of Hamilton. Also an active Board member of the World Federation for Mental Health and the Training Renewal Foundation. Avid traveller, unapologetic reader and jazz aficionado who relished the outdoors. At his request, only a private family service will take place.
