ROWAN-LEGG, Edward Kingsley,Q.C. (Nova Scotia) (Senior Assistant General Counsel, Royal Bank of Canada; Treasurer, Canadian Bar Association)
Peacefully, at his home in Deep Cove, Nova Scotia on Sunday, September 9, 2001, in his 60th year. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Kathleen RowanLegg. Husband of Judith Madeleine McWhinney. Father of Lorna Kathleen and Shelagh Madeleine. Brother of Gillian Booth (Stephen) and Michael Rowan-Legg (Susan). Nephew of Doris Campbell of Bath, England and Margaret Rowan-Legg of Ottawa. Son-in-law of the late Madeleine McWhinney. Brother-inlaw of Robert McWhinney, Jane McWhinney, Mary McWhinney and the late William McWhinney. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 11 o'clock at St. Stephen's Church, Chester, Nova Scotia. Cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 11 o'clock at Grace Church-onthe-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road (at Russell Hill), Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Choir Fund, Grace Church-on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto, Ontario M4V 1X4; the IWK Grace Health Foundation, P.O. Box 3070, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 3G9; or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our physicians, Dr. Virginia Griffin in Toronto and Dr. Donna Curry in Halifax, for the exceptional care they took of Ted.
