TRAYNOR, Edward Timothy (Eddy)
On Friday, August 22, 2008, peacefully at his home after a brief illness, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 66 years to Elma (nee Delaney). Loved father of Carol Lynne (Jim) Hynes of Toronto and Nancy (Alex) Hicks of Atlanta, GA. Dear grandfather of Patrick (Jill) Hynes and Rob (Andrea) Hynes, all of Toronto and Ryan Hicks of Minneapolis, MN. Great grandfather to Max, Ben and Charlotte Hynes. He is also survived by his sister Eileen (Wattling) of Montreal. He is survived by nieces and a nephew. Born in Montreal, Eddy served in the RCAF (RAF Transport Command) during the Second World War, when he earned the nickname 'Link' from his Air Force buddies. He was a graduate of Sir George Williams University (Concordia), Montreal. After the war he joined RCA/Victor, retiring in 1987. His years managing a recording studio reinforced his great love for music which continually filled his home. He was a founding member of the #4 Wireless School Association and a member of the Guelph Wellington Men's Club. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Monday (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. (Reception to follow in the Wall- Custance Family Reception Centre). Memorial contributions to the Parkinson Society of Canada, Box 33240 Stn Brm B, Toronto M7Y or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 204-21 Surrey St. W., Guelph N1H 3R3 would be appreciated.
