I appreciated my many meetings with Ted, abundant letters from him, fine photos with him, George Grant and Stephen Leacock our memory icons--he will be sorely missed---when in Vancouver, Ted and I would often meet, conversations ranging across wide terrain.

Dear Carol and family
I am so sorry to earn of the passing of Rev Heav!
He made a positive impact on many people during his time at TCS.
Every time Bruno and I drove through Kinmount we checked to see if the two of you had stopped in at "that store" where we saw you totally by surprise.
I remember that meeting as a fun surprise after not seeing you for some time.
It never seemed to upset Ted when our two crazy dogs behaved in a way that was surely in violation of any and all library rules......but they did keep the gum from accumulating under the library tables!!!!
I will remember him fondly for his goodness and his sense of humour...and I still have the book that he rescued for me with a new binding and keep in the Haliburton cottage.
I send you my best regards at this difficult time and wish you strength to draw on your happy memories of a special man.
