EILEEN SHERRILL Obituary
SHERRILL EILEEN WOOD Passed away quietly at home on Sunday, September 10 in her 64th year, after a ten month fight with cancer. Sherrill was beloved and will be greatly missed by her husband Neil and by her family: Barbara and Gavin, David and Mara, John and Renée, Brian and Cindy. She was born Sherrill Norcross in Ottawa, schooled at Compton Hall, now Bishops. Early in her career Sherrill was secretary to a Member of Parliament. After moving to Toronto she became a graduate Interior Designer and worked in that profession for many years, first with the Rice Brydon firm and later in her own independent business. Her volunteer work included especially The Art Gallery of Ontario, in the gallery, and leading member trips to cities and galleries abroad. Sherrill was a member of, and keenly interested in the Toronto Friends of the Visual Arts. In recent years she enjoyed golf and became a good player, a member of Rosedale Golf Club in Toronto, and in Florida the Lost Tree Club and The Loxahatchee Club. Sherrill was also a long-time member of the B & R. Sherrill will have cremation and a memorial at Mount Pleasant Cemeter y, in accordance with her wishes. A service celebrating her life will be held at Rosedale United Church on Wednesday, September 20 at 4:30 pm, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, she would wish that donations go to the Sunnybrook Foundation, directed to the Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre.
