Eleanor Minhinnick Scott PURKIS

Eleanor PURKIS Obituary

PURKIS, Eleanor Minhinnick Scott
Died peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2002, after a full and rich life. Beloved mother to 'the boys' Jim and John. Loving mother-in- law to Nancy and Carol. Cherished grandmother to Julie, Brad and Sheila, Mike and Jenn, Scott and Doug. Great- grandmother to Christopher, Turner and Lauren. Eleanor was fortunate to have shared many of life's joys and sorrows with Joe, her husband of 50 years. 'Aunt El' will be remembered by a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Her Christmas parties were legend, as was her love and devotion to her family. We would like to express our deep appreciation to the kind and caring staffs of Churchill Place, OTMH 1 East, and Allandale. A special thanks to 'dear Rose'. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Charitable Corporation or the CNIB would be most appreciated. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville, on Thursday, July 4, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St., Oakville. A private family interment to follow.
