KELLY, Elinor Marion
Born in Szechuan province
China, October 1914, left us
peacefully in Toronto on April
16, 2015. Predeceased by
siblings Charlie (2004) and Ricky
(1968) Beloved aunt of Maggie
and Ted, Nora and Audley, Fred
and Marion, Peter and Marg,
Tom and Susan, and John and
Margaret. Wonderful great-aunt
and story-teller to Sarah (Pierre)
Jennifer (Wayne) and Mary Ruth
(Huseyin). Great-grand aunt of
Naïma, Koby, Sophie, Carson,
Scarlett, Tevin, Aiden, and
Delilah. Dear friend of Adele and
the late Alice. Graduate of
Victoria University. For many
years a children's librarian with
the Toronto Public Library. Long
time resident of Port Hope,
where she was deeply involved
in community life. Elinor will be
remembered as a world
traveller, cottager extraordinaire
at Kelly's Point on Ahmic Lake,
captivating conversationalist,
and avid reader. Many thanks to
the staff of Vermont Square for
their loving care for the past
seven years. As per Elinor's
wishes there will be no visitation
or funeral.
