BROW, Elizabeth (Liz)
Passed away peacefully on April 29, 2003 at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford, Ontario with her loving family around her and after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer.
In thinking of Liz, do not grieve her passing, remember her as a kind and compassionate person, no longer in our lives to share but in our hearts she always be there.
Loving wife of Dr. Jim Brow (of Thornbury, Ont.), beloved mother to Cathie (Brian), David (Donna) and Greg (Sheri). Loved and sadly missed by her granddaughters Delaney, Matteah and Lola. Loving sister to Dr. Emerson Brooks (Mary). She will be fondly remembered by her extended family.
A wonderful friend to many, Liz will be remembered for her love of family and friends, golf, skiing, reading, cooking and her gourmet entertaining.
The family extends their thanks for her care to their devoted family doctor Dr. Charlie Irwin, also to Dr. Tony Viidik, and to two medical angels, Dr. Carolyn Campbell and Dr. Donna Ward of the Grand River Cancer Centre in Kitchener- Waterloo. To all the nurses of St. Mary's General, and Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, the nurses and staff at Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford, the Owen Sound CCAC and the Para-Med Helpers, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your care, expertise and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Church, 32 Elgin Street, Collingwood, Ontario on Friday, May 9, 2003 at 1:30 p.m., the Reverend Judy Walton officiating. Following the church service, a reception for family and friends will take place at the Toronto Ski Club at Blue Mountain, Collingwood from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cancer Centre at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo, the Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford, or the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood, would be appreciated by the family and may be sent c/o Fawcett Funeral Home (82 Pine St., Collingwood, Ont. L9Y 2N7).
