Elizabeth HOPPER Obituary

ELIZABETH CATHERINE HOPPER
(1916 – 2013)
'Elsie' Hopper died peacefully on February 7. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Eva (Bruce) MacBey, her two brothers, Wharton and Norman, her husband, Charles and her eldest son, Norman. Born in Renfrew, Ontario, Elsie subsequently lived in Trail, Kirkland Lake, Montreal West, Oakville, and finally, in Halifax at The Berkeley. Elsie is survived by her son, John (Gail) in Ottawa, and her daughter, Madge Skinner (Ward) in Halifax. She was 'Gran' to Anne (Clay) and Joan (Bob), to David (Paula), Michael (Angela), and Matthew (Leah) and to Gordon (Souhaila), Andrew (Tina), and Eric (Lori). Elsie had nine great grandchildren. If desired, please honour Elsie's memory with a donation to the QEII Foundation (www.qe2foundation.ca) for a blanket warmer. Elsie believed that delivering warm blankets to those in hospital was like giving them a hug.
