SIENIEWICZ, Ellen Williams (Nee Shepherd)
(1925-2003) on Thursday May 15th, 2003 at Thompson House, Toronto. Predeceased by her husband Jim, and her bother Pren. Loving mother of Peter and Angie, Tom and Martha, and Ellen. Proud Gram to Ben, Sam, Ethan, Alex, Stella, Satchel, and Jasper. Special thanks for the many years of loving care provided by Remmie, and the staff at Thompson House. Ellen grew up in Boston, Mass., attended the Windsor School, graduated in 1947 from Bryn Mawr College. She worked for the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C. before marrying her Canadian Doctor, whom she first met at age 12. She was a lifetime member and volunteer at the Royal Ontario Museum. She was a quite supporter of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, loved a good game of tennis and a sail on Barnstable Bay. Enigmatic, elegant, and always gracious, she and Jim loved to sip martinis and travel the world. Friends may call at the TRULL 'NORTH TORONTO' FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence) on Tuesday May 20th from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at ST. CLEMENT'S CHURCH (Duplex at Briar Hill Avenue) at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Thompson House, 1 Overland Drive, Don Mills, M3C 2C3 or to the Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queens Park, Toronto, M5S 2C6
