I just had someone forward Eric's obit. Realize it is over a year since he passed however wanted to pass along my condolences. Eric was one of my fathers very best friends and I knew Eric from the time I was a child. He was a prince of a man and a heck of tennis player. Last time I saw Eric was a few years ago at my fathers funeral and we had a nice visit. We would occasionally communicate via phone and email over the years. A very caring and thoughtful person, he will be missed.

So sorry to (belatedly) hear of Eric's passing. Eric met my parents (Roger and Dinah Glanville) at McGill, and shared a birthdate with my mother. They were lifelong friends, and Eric's name was a fixture in our household. We could always count on Eric for a funny or interesting anecdote, and he was the consummate gentleman.

We were across the street neighbours for many years. We enjoyed many a conversation about the neighbourhood, education, tennis, family and more.
Eric always kept an immaculate lawn :)
We will remember Eric fondly.

Eric was liked and loved and will be missed so very much. I remember the time that he came downtown with me, and I had no idea where I was going. Eric said Well it is this way. Eric was very kind; I remember when we had a bad snowstorm and we all lost power and heat for several days. Eric said Well if I get power before you, you can come to my house with your 2 dogs and cats and stay until you get power back. This is the kind of man he was. I have so many wonderful memories. I miss talking to him as we talked almost every night. His cat Sandy which he would say she is quite the feline, and he is so right. I would look after Erics house and cats when he would go away and now, I have his cat Sandy which I love dearly.
