At Toronto, on Monday, September 28, 1998, at the age of 52. Eric leaves behind his wife Pat Werner, son Leif, and daughter Paige. Eric was born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan where he began his distinguished career in journalism. While he spent most of his career in Toronto, he remained a Westerner at heart and kept alive his connections with the Prairie through both his work and his friendships. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME-A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Ave. (South of Eglinton Avenue East) from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1st. A complete funeral service will be held at LEASIDE UNITED CHURCH, 822 Millwood Road, on Friday, October 2nd at 2:00 o'clock.
