Dear Kate
Please accept on behalf of Minogue Medical and me personally, our deepest condolences on the recent passing of your Mom.
I had no idea that your Mom was Faye Urban, the Champion Tennis player.
While Alpine ski racing was my sport growing I've played Tennis since I was very young and reading about your Mom's exploits I cannot get over how really good she was!
I was a member of the Monkland Tennis Club in Montreal and in the late 60's early 70's we would sometimes host the Canadian Open Tennis championships.
Although I never met your Mom, her name was familiar to me as one of the greats!
I recently lost my father and I'm comforted by the many years and great memories that we shared. I wish the same for you and your family during this difficult time.
Your friends Danny Minogue and the Team

I have fond memories of Faye from when she and I carpooled to Windsor Teachers' College in 1964, crammed into a Volkswagen bug. She was a delightful friend. She invited me to Toronto to take notes for her about other players' games, when she competed in the Ontario Closed. She even allowed me, once, to play a set of tennis against her. My condolences to her family.

There was a time at Walkerville Collegiate in Windsor when Faye Urban ,Kate Innes and I were close friends and I remember how excited she was when she made her first trip abroad .I’m so happy she had a long and loving marriage with another Walkervillle alumni and God rest her soul .It was an honor to have been her friend so many years ago.

I remember Faye and Willy from my Walkerville C. I. days in Windsor. My condolences to Willy and the family for their loss. Faye was a great athelete and a beautiful person. Willy and I went to grade school together and were good friends. It has been a long time since we have communicated but there some great memories to look back on. My prayers go out to the family.

I met Faye when working In Kindergarten at the TDSB. When she walked in as a substitute teacher, you knew it would be a fun and productive day with Faye in charge. She really cared for and valued the children! She will be messed greatly.

I knew Faye when she supply taught at Sunnylea school where I worked as a teacher. I remember her as a kind, thoughtful and caring teacher. The children were always in good hands under her guidance and supervision. A very lovely lady.

I am so sorry to learn of Faye’s passing. I was acquainted with both Faye and Willy at WCI and always admired Faye’s great talent and success. More than this, I was always very impressed with what a genuinely nice person she was and how modest. My sincere condolences to Willy and family.

Faye was a year or so behind me at Walkerville Collegiate but I remember seeing her on the school tennis court constantly. She was a determined young girl and proved she was going on to better things in the tennis world. Her husband, Willy, was always one of her best friends at WCI and well thought of by many of us. To him and his family, I send my deepest condolences.
