Faye O''DONNELL Obituary

FAYE O'DONNELL Faye passed peacefully on December 9, 2022 with her husband by her side. Predeceased by her mother, Edna O'Donnell and brother, Laurence O' Donnell, Faye will be missed by her husband, Henry Wiercinski, son, Eric Wiercinski, in-laws, Edward, Karl and Sue Wiercinski, her extended family and myriad classmates, friends, neighbours and colleagues whose lives she touched. Her warm smile, care for others and innate curiosity defined Faye. An accomplished athlete in high school, she pursued tennis, golf, skiing and sailing with enthusiasm throughout her life. After graduating from nursing in Saint John, Faye travelled extensively, internationally, before moving to Toronto where she practiced nursing in ICUs. With a natural eye for colour and design, she engaged in the visual and performing arts as well as decorative arts. Faye's east coast roots were always evident. There was nothing more that she enjoyed than the time that she spent at the family home in St. Andrews-by-the Sea where guests, whether planned or spontaneous, were warmly hosted and conversations were eclectic. There was always another seat at the table. In recent years Faye's spiritual side focused on learning and teaching about complementary forms of wellness. A family funeral was held in Toronto on December 20, 2022. A celebration of Faye's life will be held in Toronto in the coming months. A further celebration of life will be held in St. Andrews in the season. Interment will be in St. Andrews beside her mother and brother. We thank Faye's care team at The Princess Margaret for their exemplary and compassionate care. My condolences on Faye´s passing. It´s been many many years since I´ve seen Faye, however I have fond memories of her. Time spent in St Andrews when we were young and her taking me for drives in her little sports car. She was always like the cool big Sister. I remember her style and love of life. May she Rest in Peace.

I knew Faye as we both went to Saint John High School. Faye was on the varsity women´s basketball team along with Jane Ring and Carolyn Savoy. I played on the varsity men´s team. After she moved to Toronto I met her a few times when she returned to St. Andrews in the summers. My condolences to her husband and son as I am sure that they provided Faye with the happiest days of her life. God speed.

Dear Henry and Eric,
I was so very saddened and shocked to read of Faye's passing. I will remember her for her warmth and kindness and I'm very grateful to have seen her after some years in 2019. My deepest condolences to you both.
