FLORA ROY Ph.D., D.Litt. (Hon.) 1912 - 2008 Peacefully at Luther Village on the Park, Waterloo on Wednesday March 12, 2008, in her 96th year. Daughter of the late Agnes Anne MacPherson Roy of Winnipeg, Manitoba and the late George Irwin Roy of Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Beloved sister of the late Gordon Roy (Muriel) of Windthorst, Saskatchewan and Olive May Lionel (Arthur) of Nanaimo, British Columbia. Dear aunt of the late Rory Lionel, Sandra Roy (Kerry Long) of Kitchener, Michelle Collier (Hal) of Delta, British Columbia, Yvonne Roy (Bill O'Byrne) of Peterborough, Ontario, Trudy Lionel (Steve) of San Francisco, California, Gwenn McKay (Gordon) of Corning Saskatchewan, and Robyn Roy- Hampton (Greg) of Windthorst, Saskatchewan. Dr. Roy was a professor at Waterloo College, Waterloo Lutheran University and Wilfred Laurier University. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Flora with her family for a service of remembrance at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11 a.m., with The Rev. Canon Christopher Pratt officiating. Cremation has taken place. Reception will immediately follow in the Historic Kuntz House of the funeral home.
