Frances GRUBER Obituary
GRUBER, Frances
It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Gruber announce that she died quite suddenly on December 8, 2000 in Toronto. She will be sorrowfully missed by her sister Ruth Thomas of Toronto, Ontario, and her son David Gruber of Kelowna, British Columbia, as well as by the many close and dear friends she has deeply touched over the years. Her family and friends will remember her love of theatre and art and devotion to life. A fabulous dancer during her younger years, her zest for life continued throughout her life through her involvement in and support of the arts as well as her ongoing commitment to improving the lives of those around her. Frances cared deeply for her family and friends and had great respect and admiration for everyone she met. Her great concern for the improvement of the human condition was prevalent both throughout her life and in her death. Frances donated her body to the Department of Anatomy, University of Toronto for the advancement of medicine through anatomical studies and medical research. As per Frances' request, any memorial services will be very private and of an individual nature. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to contribute to the Anatomical Research Fund, Department of Anatomy, University of Toronto or to the charity of their choice.
