Frances ROCKEL Obituary



ROCKEL (Blackwell), Frances Olive
of Port Colborne, died at the Port Colborne General Hospital on Saturday, October 9th, 1999 in her 87th year. Mrs. Rockel was a member of the Central United Church and the Assistant Manager of Reward's Shoe Store in Port Colborne for many years. Beloved sister of Ruth Adamson of Toronto. Dearly loved aunt of John Adamson of Weston, Andrew Adamson of Oakville, Gerald of Welland, Margaret Nicholson of Toronto, Jean Covington of New York City, Joyce Southcott of Florida, Betty Black of Englehart and Dorothy Kells and Joyce (Dolly) Wilkinson both of Welland. Predeceased by her parents John and Frances Blackwell, her husband Oscar, sisters Jean Blackwell and Grace Kerridge, a brother Norman Blackwell and a nephew Robert Funk. Mrs. Rockel's family will receive visitors at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until service time. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Roger Hides of the Central United Church in the Armstrong Chapel on Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. If desired, Donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses.
