Frances SALTER Obituary
SALTER, Frances Elizabeth H. 'Fran' (nee McFaul) B.A. -
Member of the Peterborough Bridge Club and the Peterborough Golf & Country Club. Peacefully, with her family at her side, on Saturday January 7, 2006 at the P.R.H.C. Hospital Drive Site, at the age of 82 years. Frances is survived by her husband of 55 years, William T. Salter, daughters Suzanne of Vancouver and Linda (husband Peter Brown) of North Bay, and grandchildren Ellie, Thomas, Emma and Morgan.
Born in Hamilton, Fran met her husband Bill at the University of Toronto. They married in 1950 and stayed in Toronto until 1962. Bill's career then moved them to Vancouver and again in 1973 moved them to Peterborough. Fran was an avid bridge player who loved to entertain and be with people. She was a generous person and will be dearly missed.
Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge St., on Tuesday, January 10, from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday January 11, at 1:30 pm. Donations to the P.R.H.C. Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.
