SCHMIDT, Frank,Executive Vice President of ABC Group
Peacefully on December 3rd, 2001, with his family at his side, passed on at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto at the age of 48 after a lengthy illness with cancer. Frank's career as a member of the ABC Group began in early 1968. As a young man, Frank started working his way through the various ABC companies learning the ;ins and outs of the plastic business. While the group of companies grew, so did Frank and in 1978, he was given the responsibilites of Plant Manager. In 1985, he was promoted to General Manager with 3 companies under his control. Frank has given 33 years of service to the ABC Group and was member of the Canadian Plastics Pioneer Quarter Century Club. Frank will be sadly missed by his loving mother and father Mike and Helga Schmidt, his beloved wife Susanne Schmidt. Frank leaves behind four loving children Michael, Christopher, Katrina and Alexander to carry on his legacy. Survived by his brother Timothy and his wife Anita Schmidt and his sister Michelle and her husband Pierre Emond. He will also be missed by his aunt Resi Frihovic and family, his uncle George Schmidt and family as well as his loving nieces and nephews Megan and Amanda Schmidt; Jessica, Pierre Jr., Tristan and Matthias Emond. Sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Friends will be received at the Scenna Funeral Home, 8003 Weston Road (2 blocks north of Hwy. 7), Woodbridge (905-850-9337) on Wednesday from 7-9, and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Service to take place in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. Donations cards will be available at the funeral home.
