Fraser MORRISON Obituary

FRASER MORRISON Fraser Gibson Umphrey Morrison passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Belize, on August 28th at the age of 60. Fraser was the beloved son of Matthew Morrison (deceased) and Carole Morrison and the brother of Kristi and Graeme. Fraser leaves his adored sons, Garry, Elton and Dillan. He will be fondly remembered by his niece Mattie, and his ex-wife Pau. Fraser had many passions, but above all else was his love for his three children. They were his pride and joy. He was a devoted and proud father who taught his children to be independent thinkers and entrepreneurial. He encouraged his boys to be good at sports and academics, but most importantly to always follow one's heart. Fraser grew up in Toronto and went to high school at St Georges College, followed by a BA at Western, and later an MBA in France. Fraser spent much of his life living inThailand, as well as a few years working in Myanmar. Fraser was married in a small village in north-east Thailand, but raised his family on the idyllic Thai coastline. Fraser was happiest sailing his catamaran with his family and friends around to the beautiful islands and beaches. This is where he thrived. Fraser, like his father, loved the sea and sailing. Fraser moved back to Canada 6 years ago and settled in Collingwood, where his boys would snowboard everyday after school. Fraser met a wonderful woman in Collingwood and together they pursued their dream of setting up an eco lodge in the beautiful mountains of Belize. Many thanks to the wonderful Marsha Armstrong and for her care, love and support of Fraser. Fraser's kindness, enthusiasm, eclecticism, and generosity were an inspiration to all who knew him. He is and will always be greatly missed. You are in our hearts forever Fraser.

I am still stunned that Fraser has left us. We met during his time in Vancouver in 1990 - we all had lofty dreams of Asian exploits - he made them real both through his family and his business acumen. He was a straight up guy - with a good sense of humour and a keen eye for opportunity. I regret not seeing him of late - it is my loss. Condolences to all the Morrison family and friends. Steve.

Frazer was a beautiful human. Those are the words that come to mind when I think of his elegant soul and the way he moved through life with a graceful freedom that inspired us all! This is a man whose adventurous heart showed us how to live life to the fullest and his courage is to be admired! My childhood was a glorious time in life to be remembered full of fun and adventure and Fraz was one of the sweetest friends gifted to the block. May he rest in peace xo
