FREDERICK FOX Obituary

December 28, 1932 – July 26, 2025 Peacefully at home, in his 93rd year, after a prolonged and hard-fought battle with malignant melanoma. He is predeceased by his wives, Jeanne (d. 2012) and Marilyn (d. 2015); along with his parents and his brothers, Edward (Ted) and Jack. Mourned by his children, Cathy (John), Karen, and Michael (Joanne); stepchildren, Lara (Alex) and Mark; along with grandchildren, Allie, Jake, Nick, Tommy, Emily, Jason, Luke and Abbey; and step-grandchildren, Joy and Joe. He will be lovingly remembered by all his nieces and nephews, and his many friends. Born and raised in Quebec City, he moved to Montreal to attend McGill University, earning both his BA (1953) and Bachelor of Civil Law (1964). He worked for DuPont Canada for over 37 years, retiring as Vice President and General Counsel in 1991. On "retirement," he served on several boards and was executive director of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Canada. He continued to perform arbitrations for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP) into his 90s. In his free time, he loved to golf. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the care assistance received from Acclaim Health and Right at Home. For those who wish, donations in Jerry's name can be made to Trillium Health Partners, where both Jeannie and Jerry were treated for cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
