SPEED, Frederick Matthew
Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Emilie. Devoted father of Anne, Jane, Ruth, Claire, and Carol. Cherished grandfather of Leila, Aisha, Anissa, Katie, Sarah, Christian, and Olivia. Retired Science Teacher of 34 years at U.T.S. and retired Program Director of Prime Mentors of Canada. Visitation on Sunday, June 8th from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church (670 Sheppard Ave. E.). Memorial donations may be made to Prime Mentors of Canada towards the Fred Speed Scholarship (c/o OISE/ UT 252 Bloor St. W. Toronto, ON M5S 1V6).
