Ms. Darling was my high school english teacher for grade 12 at Mowat and one of the few teachers who really inspired me. The 1970's were a different time to be true but she was far and away one who lit the candle rather than filled the vessel. I have though of her often over the years - my regret is that I never told her how much she influenced my thinking.

Very sorry to hear of her passing. Was a student of hers many years ago, just for one year, and she left a great impression on me that I carried the rest of my school experience. My condolences to friends and family.

So sad to hear of the death of my friend of over 50 years. Gail and I volunteered in the same small town in Ghana, became close friends and have kept in touch ever since from different sides of the Atlantic. She and Carol visited me in London and I spent several happy holidays with them in Toronto and Fort Lauderdale. So many happy memories, and so sad for Carol.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Gail's passing. She was the first female Principal I worked with at L'Amoreaux when I taught there. I send my condolences to Carol, and both Carol and Gail's families.

My sincere condolences to Carol and to Gail's family.
After my husband passed away, Gail would contact me every September on the anniversary of his birthday to inquire as to how our family was doing and to laugh and reminisce. She always had a funny anecdote to tell about the many activities in which they had been involved together whether it was flipping burgers to welcome the Grade 9 students to high school or the duties and responsibilities they shared as an administrative team. I will be forever grateful for her thoughtful remembrances of him and the warm hugs she always sent our way.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Our deepest sympathies to Carol and to Gail's family. While Gail was my principal at L'Amoreaux, I have very warm memories of our early years of teaching at Cedarbrae when Cliff and I shared a lot of laughter, good meals, and good times with Gail and Carol. She will be missed.

I knew Gail when I was.a teacher and she was the principal of Wexford Collegiate. She was honest , fair and straight forward. She and I had both taught in Ghsna and when I brought a large bottle of Star beer back to her in 1995 , she was delighted. She was a fine person and my heart goes out to Carol and Gail's family for their great loss.

It am both shocked and saddened to learn of Gail's passing. She was a unique person with a clever wit and great compassion. Gail was one of the first female Principals in The Scarborough board of Education and lead with honesty and personal integrity and always put the welfare of Student's first. She will be missed.

I extend my sincere sympathy to Carol and Gail'a family. It was a shock to learn of her passing. I knew Gail from the Scarborough Board, prior to the TDSB, and was her superintendent when she was principal of L'Amoreaux S.S. My thoughts are with you.
