GARTH WEBB Obituary
June 21,1950 - October 26, 2025 Much loved Andy Webb suffered an acute stroke while at the family cottage Thanksgiving weekend. In spite of excellent care and kindness for Andy and family at Huntsville General, Toronto Western and Scarborough General Hospitals, he passed away October 26, 2025. At age 75, Andy was still playing hockey twice a week and renovating his home. A lover of music and nature, his subtle humour, calming presence (except while watching the Leafs), gentle wisdom, problem-solving and carpentry/contracting skills will be much missed. Andy grew up on Statler Ave., in Etobicoke and studied at OCA before pursuing carpentry after a summer spent building in Muskoka. He started his own contracting business combining his engineering/carpentry/people skills with his artistic sensibility, making him a favourite of architects and clients alike. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ruth; daughters, Meka (Rick) and Teegan (Tom); stepdaughters, Jessica (Jon), Amy (Graham), and Mathilda (Matt); grandchildren, Amanda, Molly, Finnegan, Bruce, Freddie, Leo and James; siblings, Peter (Pat) and Susan; nieces and nephews, Gordon, Kristin, Wendy, Nancy, and Jamie; and adopted Lassam family, Sylvia, Nina and Claire. A celebration of life will be held at Fairlawn Avenue United Church, 28 Fairlawn Avenue, Saturday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Juno Beach Centre, Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Conversation Canada or Feed Scarborough.
