GEOFFREY RICHARD LINCOLN PACEY

Geoffrey Pacey passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 7, 2025, at Toronto Western Hospital, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Mara, who passed away just a day prior at the same hospital. Their lifelong love and partnership transcends this world, forever by each other's side. Together they raised three wonderful children, Christine, Suzanne (Jason), and Eric (Tristin). Geoffrey was a proud and adoring grandfather to Emily, Kaitlin, Lauren, Charlie, Every and step-granddaughter Daelen. Born May 31, 1943, in Vancouver BC, to the late Grace (née Brynildsen) and Geoffrey Pacey, he was immensely proud of both his British and Norwegian heritage. His ancestors had settled in Hagensborg, BC, where he enjoyed spending summers at his and Mara's cabin in the Bella Coola Valley. He completed his bachelors in English at the University of British Columbia, subsequently attaining his law degree from the University of Ottawa, where he met Mara. A dedicated condominium lawyer, he ran a successful law firm for many years, building a respected and lasting reputation in his field. His passion for the law inspired his granddaughter Emily to follow in his footsteps and attend law school. Even while battling dementia, Geoffrey's sharp wit, sense of humour, and love of in-depth discussions particularly discussing tort law, history, or countries capitals never faded. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit endures through the lessons and wisdom he imparted and the boundless love he gave to his family. In accordance with Geoffrey's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
