On Friday, May 8, 1998, our dear father passed away at home, with his family by his side, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Dearly beloved husband of the late June Mottershead (nee Hardy); much loved and admired Dad of Susan and Stephen Brown, Gary and Karen Mottershead, Daryl Crowley and Peter Luchowski, Lesley and Dave Giles, Donna and Chris Sisam. Special and dedicated "Pop" to Amy, Andrew, Bryan, Stephen, Craig, Kristy, Katie, Lindsey, Maggie, Alexandra, Jeffrey, Stephanie and the late Harrison. Dear brother to Phyllis Starnaman and her husband Lloyd, Harry Mottershead and his wife Audrey. He will be truly missed by his family and many friends and all those who were touched by his generosity and loyalty. His courage, strength and fairness will continue to be an inspiration to us all. Friends will be received at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, "Scarborough Chapel", 2900 Kingston Road on Monday, May 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service celebrating George's life will be held at Cliffcrest United Church on Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Scarborough Centenary Hospital or the Toronto Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
