RIZAKOS, George
Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at Scarborough Grace Hospital, on Monday, May 7, 2001, at age 69. George Rizakos, loving husband of Eleni. Loving father of Anastasia and her husband Nick Koutlemanis, Georgia and her husband Chris Christidis, and Kleomenis. Cherished Papou of Dori, Elena, Costas, Nicole, Alexia and Andrea. Dear brother of Anna Tzanis and Vasiliki Kritikos. Predeceased by his brothers Peter and Kostas. George was born in Spartia, Greece in 1932, he came to Canada in 1958 to begin his new life full of courage, hopes and dreams. Friends may call at the HERITAGE FUNERAL CENTRE, DON VALLEY CHAPEL LTD., 50 Overlea Blvd., Toronto (west of Don Mills Road 416-423-1000), on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at ST. DEMETRIOS GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive, Toronto, on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. Interment in Pine Hills Cemetery. Memorial donations to the new Hellenic Home for the Aged would be appreciated by the family.
