It was George's wish to share the following text which was prepared by him: George lived a long, happy, and eventually openly gay life despite many challenges. During his life, he hurt some people, and he helped some others. He asks for forgiveness from those whom he hurt and hopes that those whom he helped will have fond memories of him. "All of us are better when we have loved" (The last line of "No Great Mischief" by Alistair MacLeod) AND "God is happiest when he/she is playing with us" (Attributed to Truman Capote in Such Good Friends by Stephen Greco)
